Terms & Conditions
The short version
- Ordering means agreeing to these terms and to the price shown at checkout.
- Prices include duties and taxes — nothing extra arrives at the door.
- You have [30] days to return an unworn item; made-to-measure is the exception.
- Nothing here removes the consumer rights you have by law.

Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send the dispatch confirmation, not when payment is taken. If something is out of stock or priced incorrectly, we may decline the order and refund in full — and we will tell you why.
Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in [CURRENCY] and include duties and import taxes.
- Payment is taken at checkout through [PAYMENT PROVIDER]. Card details are handled by them, never stored by us.
- If an obvious pricing error appears, we will contact you before dispatching rather than quietly cancelling.
Delivery
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, and customs handling can occasionally add time. Risk passes to you on delivery. Full detail is on the Shipping & Returns page.
Returns and cancellation
[Thirty days from delivery to return an unworn item in original condition.] Made-to-measure pieces are cut to your measurements and cannot be returned unless faulty, which is stated before you order. UK and EU customers also have statutory cancellation rights, and nothing here reduces them.
Faulty items
Leather is a natural material: grain, tone and small marks vary between hides and are not faults — they are why full-grain looks the way it does. Genuine faults in stitching, hardware or the hide itself are repaired, replaced or refunded. Email Info@cordwainleather.com with photographs and your order number.
Product descriptions
We describe materials and measurements as accurately as we can. Colours vary between screens, and handmade pieces vary slightly from one another. Where a specification matters to you, ask before ordering and we will confirm it.
Intellectual property
The Cordwain name, logo, photography and written content belong to [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] and may not be reproduced without permission.
Liability
We are responsible for loss that follows foreseeably from our breach of these terms. We are not liable for indirect losses, and nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION]. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
Changes
These terms may change. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
