A short dress cuff ends at the wrist bone and slides under a coat sleeve cleanly. A deep fur cuff closes the gap instead. Both are here, and which you want depends on whether you are dressing or standing outside.The three raised lines on the back of the hand are not decoration. They are tucks sewn into the leather that let it expand when you close your fist and gather again when you open it. Without them a leather glove fits either closed or open, not both.Leather gloves should feel snug when new.
