If a biker jacket feels like too much structure, the bomber is the alternative. Ribbed hem, round neck, room through the body — it is the leather jacket that behaves like a sweatshirt, and it layers over knitwear that a fitted jacket would not close around.
Why choose a bomber over a biker?
Room. A biker is cut close and decides your outfit; a bomber sits away from the body and accommodates whatever is underneath. It also has no lapels, so it works under a coat in winter, which is something a biker collar rarely does without bunching at the neck.
Where should the hem finish?
At the hip bone. The ribbing grips there and the body blouses very slightly above it — that soft bag is the shape, and a bomber cut without it just looks boxy. A hem that sits lower widens the hip line and loses the proportion entirely.
Does the relaxed cut make it shapeless?
Only if you size up. The bomber is already cut with ease built in, so taking a larger size adds volume you did not need and drops the shoulder seam. Take your usual size and let the shape do the work.
What sits underneath it well?
Knitwear, which is the whole advantage. A sweater, a sweatshirt, a roll-neck — things that would strain a biker's front panels sit comfortably here. Keep the pant line slim to balance the volume up top.

Questions, answered
Is it warm enough for fall?
Over a knit, yes — the ribbed cuffs and hem seal the openings, which does more against wind than a lining does.
Should I size up for a sweater?
No. The room is already there. Sizing up is the most common mistake on this cut.
Does the ribbing lose its shape?
Not if the knit is dense. Thin, stretchy ribbing goes slack within a season — it is the first thing to check on any bomber.
What measurements do you need?
Shoulder width, bust and height. Even on a relaxed cut, the shoulder is what decides the size.
Will I be charged customs?
No. Duties and taxes are paid by us worldwide.
How should I store it?
On a broad hanger, uncovered or in cloth, never sealed in plastic.
For a closer, sharper shape, the women's biker shelf is the opposite end of the range. The women's hub has both side by side.
