Description
The café racer, in brown and with the edges worn back
Band collar with a snap tab, a straight zip, and a body cut close enough that there is nowhere to hide a bad fit. What sets this one apart from a plain café racer is the finish: the edges, seams and pocket openings are rubbed back to a lighter brown, so the jacket reads as worn rather than new.
A brown cafe racer jacket men choose over black is choosing the version that shows its age. On this one that process has been started for you at the edges.

Size chart
Measure your chest around the fullest part, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight. Jacket chest is the finished garment measurement, which runs larger than your body measurement because the jacket has to close over you. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one.

Welt pockets rather than zips
The two chest pockets are welts — openings set into the panel with a piped edge — not zipped slots. A welt sits flat and disappears when empty, which keeps the front of the jacket clean. A zip adds hardware and a line across the chest. Which you prefer is taste; this is the quieter of the two.
Why the waist tabs are there
A leather jacket with waist adjuster tabs can be pulled in at the hem by about an inch on each side. On a close-cut jacket that is the difference between the body hanging straight and following your shape. It also lets the same jacket work over a shirt and over a thin knit without changing size.
The edge wear is applied, and then continues
The lighter tone at the seams and pocket mouths is an antiquing finish, applied after the jacket is made. Because the hide beneath is full-grain, your own wear carries on from there in the same places. A vintage edge cafe racer jacket built on coated leather stops ageing the day it leaves the factory.
This is a style jacket. No armour, no abrasion rating, not made for riding.
Questions
What is the difference between a café racer and a bomber jacket?
The collar and the hem. A café racer has a band collar and a straight hem that sits at the waist. A bomber has ribbed knit at the collar, cuffs and hem, which gathers the body and gives it a blouson shape. The café racer is the sharper of the two; the bomber is the roomier.
How is this different from your other café racer?
Different jacket. This one is brown with antiqued edges, welt chest pockets and waist adjuster tabs. The other has quilted shoulder panels, zip chest pockets and no tabs, and comes in black, tan, cream and electric blue. Same family, different build.
Are café racer jackets still in style?
They have not left since the 1960s, which is the strongest argument available. The shape carries no decade markers — no studs, no asymmetry, no exaggerated proportions — and that is precisely why it does not date.
Why do some leather jackets have waist tabs?
To adjust the hem width. Originally they stopped wind getting up inside a riding jacket; now they let one jacket fit cleanly over different layers. On a slim cut they also stop the hem flaring away from the body.
How do you soften a new leather jacket?
Wear it. Full-grain softens where your body bends, and that pattern is specific to you — which is the point. Conditioner helps if it feels dry, but applying oils to force softness darkens the leather unevenly and cannot be undone.
How long does delivery take and are duties included?
Delivery is typically 4 to 9 working days, tracked from dispatch. Shipping is free worldwide, and import duties are settled before dispatch wherever the carrier supports Delivered Duty Paid to your country. Where a carrier does not support it, any duty is charged locally.
Can I return it if it does not fit?
Yes, within 30 days on unworn items with tags attached.
